Northern Nevada’s growth should benefit everyone, not just the well-connected. That means equal access for developers and builders, streamlined permitting processes, and utility hook-up costs that don’t price families out of homeownership before they even break ground. Right now, the city passes its own infrastructure planning failures along to builders at exorbitant rates. As mayor, I will cap pass-through fees, create transparent cost-sharing frameworks between the city and utility providers, and establish a builders’ advisory council so every stakeholder has a seat at the table.
